The 1.9 is slightly more economical, the 2.0 is quicker revving, smoother, faster, quieter. The 1.9 only has a 5 speed box though. The 2.0 doesn't pull quite as well from low revs (the 1.9 is like a tank) but is less peaky. Given the choice I took the 2.0TDI and I don't regret it at all. Regards.

Coolant temp sensor is ~$10. Fuel temp sensor ~$22. I would replace the coolant temp sensor 1stMUCH less of a fubar factor.
Thank you! You can go for the cheap exhaust system from your local muffler shop. $200 outta cover it. Remove the muffler, add a resonator. Replace the plastic air tract pipes [both sides of the turbo] with metal ones. Remove the airbox snorkle or go with an aftermarket airbox/filter.
Here's roughly what I'm thinking, please let me know if I'm going to kill the car. • Loosen and rotate the fuel lines away from the injector bodies. • Pull the injectors and look at the nozzles. • Reattach injectors to hard lines. • Rotate the fuel lines so that injectors point towards the firewall and have room for a 1 liter plastic
TDI stands for ‘Turbocharged Direct Injection.’ It’s engineered in a similar way to the TSI engine, using a turbocharger to increase power, which allows the size of the engine to be reduced
max power, buy a powerstorke or cummins. youre limited to the 1.9l engine, if you want big power you need a bigger engine. plain and simple. sur eyou COULD get 300hp out of a 1.9tdi, but as stated above it isnt a real daily vehicle. 200hp is something that can be achieved easily and maintained for a good long time.
c8CEq. 98 Jetta TDI AHU 1.9L (944 TDI swap in progress) I moved so now i got nothing but an AHU in a garage on a pallet. Dec 3, 2017. #2. Not sure what you’re talking about or asking about due to the poor translation from polish to English. I am running a GT2052 and it’s an ok turbo for a HUGE setup but it’s too big.
You see, the high-performance components that make up this valve are specially designed to reduce turbo lag and spool, and eliminate boost leaks that are often present in the OEM plastic factory valves. >>Join the conversation about cheap performance mods for the B8 right here at AudiWorld Forum!

Another 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that has stood the test of time is the Subaru EJ20, which was first introduced in 1989, as a replacement for the EA82 1.8-liter engine. Subaru planted the EJ20 in the WRX STi to compete with fast car giants like Mitsubishi and it has performed admirably well.
